THEATRE

Voices from Lebanon

My emotions are boiling over and I don’t know what to do with them

FIONA, BEIRUT

For one night only – on 29 June in London – Seenaryo is staging new monologues from Lebanon, performed by acclaimed actors Juliet Stevenson, Khalid Abdalla, Denise Gough, Ammar Haj Ahmad, Sirine Saba and Necar Zadegan, with a recorded monologue by Oscar-winner Jessie Buckley and more actors to be announced.

Audiences will have the chance to hear first hand stories of living through the latest war on Lebanon, written by our participants over recent months.

The monologues are at once funny, angry, intimate and political, at times even joyful. They shatter traditional conflict narratives to reveal the complexities – and mundanities – of life during war.

100% of ticket sales will go to Seenaryo’s theatre and play programmes, supporting mental health, shaping futures, and driving social justice, in Lebanon, Jordan and Palestine. There will also be an opportunity to support further on the night.

Join us at Underbelly Boulevard Soho to witness these vital, human portraits of life told from unimaginable circumstances.
