Lora
Saida, Lebanon
As a teacher in Saida, South Lebanon, Lora’s classroom has been impacted by a series of unprecedented challenges over the last 10 years. The education system in Lebanon has been under massive strain due to a funding deficit of over $200 million, exacerbated by economic collapse, a large influx of refugees since 2015, and Israel’s recent war.
In 2021, she took a Seenaryo Playkit training that transformed not only the atmosphere in her classroom, but also her relationship with her students.
[The Seenaryo Playkit] shifted my class from a traditional one, to a class full of fun and life.
With the Playkit having such a profound impact on her own classroom, Lora dreamt of spreading the Playkit further. She first led a Playkit training for the rest of the teachers in her school, and more recently has become a Playkit trainer herself.

When she was a child at school, she says she often struggled with memorising lessons – she’d be waiting around for art classes. But with the Playkit, she sees the children in her class enjoying learning, they’re active and part of the lessons.
Having been teaching for over a decade, Lora sees it not just as a job, but as a way of building a different future for the generations to come.
