Young Artists

A short film that aims to break down the stereotypes around disability. We tend to look at disabled people with a mixture of sympathy and confusion, which affects them negatively. Hassan has struggled with this since childhood, when he saw a report on the Syrian Channel about a disabled person. This film focuses on the language people usually use to describe a disabled person, and how these phrases shed light on the relationships between them and their community.

Hassan was born in Homs in 1991. He studied business administration at the Lebanese University but wanted to work in the arts so participated in various theatre workshops. He has acted in a number of plays and series. He is now a theatre facilitator with Seenaryo.
